Stephanie Olsen is a life-long resident of Spokane County, a committed public servant for nearly 20 years, advisor and advocate in criminal and civil law, and a leader in her community. With years of experience in the justice system, Stephanie is highly regarded and respected for her team approach to resolving problems. She has been recognized by the state and received the Outstanding Innovation in Traffic Safety award for her work and implementation of Spokane County’s electronic warrant system. She has been a valuable liaison between prosecutors, law enforcement, judges, and the traffic safety community and, due to her expertise and experience, her employment responsibilities included teaching dozens of classes to assist the local law enforcement community become more informed and prepared in their duties. Stephanie considers it her highest honor to be a public servant in Spokane County and to use her legal experience to make this beautiful community safe and just for all who call it home.
Stephanie has served as a deputy prosecutor for Spokane County and the City of Spokane as well as an Assistant AG for Washington’s Office of the Attorney General. She is experienced in the many facets of civil and criminal law, which is a great asset in understanding and collaborating with the legal community throughout Spokane County and the entire state of Washington. Additionally, she is privileged to serve as a Judge Pro Tem in Spokane County District Court. Stephanie is a well-regarded and successful criminal trial attorney, civil attorney, negotiator, and collaborator.
Stephanie has performed countless volunteer hours in her community. She has enjoyed her time supporting and volunteering for charity events benefitting Sacred Heart CHildren’s Hospital, Sacred Heart’s Adult and Children’s Psychiatric Hospital, Fantasy Flight Northwest, Habitat for Humanity, Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, and Spokane Woman’s Shelter as well as many others. Stephanie has also had the privilege to serve on many professional committees, including Spokane County Superior and District Court Warrant Communities, Spokane County District Court Liaison Committee, Spokane County Courtroom Technology Committee, Washington Impaired Driving Advisory Council, Washington Traffic Safety Commission, Downtown Spokane Kiwanis Executive Board, and First Night Spokane Board of Directors.
